Interfaces entre esporte, natureza e turismo de aventura no Paraná : uma abordagem estruturacionista

Abstract

RESUMO: A sociedade moderna tem sido marcada pela emergência de novos comportamentos e hábitos, resultantes de transformações nas bases do conhecimento e da reflexividade social, influenciando diretamente as práticas cotidianas e os estilos de vida dos indivíduos. Nesse cenário, evidencia-se uma crescente preocupação com os recursos naturais e a consequente apropriação desses territórios para múltiplos fins, dentre os quais se destaca a realização de práticas recreativas e esportivas em contato com a natureza. A emergência desses esportes como fenômenos sociais da segunda modernidade revela uma dinâmica estreitamente articulada ao turismo de aventura. Paralelamente a essas reconfigurações sociais, observa-se o crescimento da demanda por essas atividades nos estados brasileiros, entre os quais o Paraná vem adquirindo um cenário de destaque no país. Diante desses elementos, o presente estudo objetivou analisar o papel dos esportes de contato com a natureza na política de turismo de aventura do estado do Paraná. Em termos metodológicos, trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, estruturada em três frentes de investigação: pesquisa teórica, pesquisa bibliográfica e análise documental. Adotou-se a Teoria da Estruturação como referencial analítico, por oferecer um quadro interpretativo capaz de apreender os processos e interações que conformam esses sistemas sociais, contribuindo para superar lacunas presentes nas pesquisas sobre as dimensões estruturantes que permeiam essa modulação. Os resultados revelam que as leis ambientais apresentam elementos recursivos que viabilizam a implementação de atividades esportivas e recreativas em ambientes naturais. Essas práticas figuram como interlocutoras ativas da interação entre meio ambiente e turismo, favorecendo uma simbiose mútua entre os setores. Nessa dinâmica, constatou-se que o programa Paraná Aventura consiste em uma ação estratégica para favorecer esses mecanismos de interação, originando-se da reflexividade institucional desse sistema, intermediada pela monitoração reflexiva de seus agentes peritos. Sendo assim, trata-se de um programa que promove mecanismos de desencaixe e reencaixe na interface entre natureza, esporte e turismo de aventura no Paraná. Ademais, nota-se que as configurações geográficas do estado apresentam grande vocação para os esportes de contato com a natureza. Na Política de Regionalização do Turismo, constataram-se tendências de valorização e estímulo à estruturação do setor de aventura, de modo a promover a reinvenção das áreas naturais, veiculada pelos esportes de contato com a natureza e intermediada pelo turismo de aventura. Conclui-se que os elementos analisados se configuram como expressão de políticas contemporâneas capazes de mobilizar diferentes instituições e agentes sociais, além de favorecer processos de desencaixe e reencaixe das dinâmicas sociais, envolvendo tanto transformações estruturais amplas quanto alterações em dimensões individuais e subjetivas.

ABSTRACT: Modern society has been marked by the emergence of new behaviors and habits, resulting from transformations in the foundations of knowledge and social reflexivity, directly influencing daily practices and lifestyles of individuals. In this scenario, there is a growing concern with natural resources and the consequent appropriation of these territories for multiple purposes, among which the practice of recreational and sporting activities in contact with nature stands out. The emergence of these sports as social phenomena of the second modernity reveals a dynamic closely linked to adventure tourism. Parallel to these social reconfigurations, there is a growing demand for these activities in Brazilian states, with Paraná gaining prominence in the country. Given these elements, this study aimed to analyze the role of nature-based sports in the adventure tourism policy of the state of Paraná. Methodologically, this is a qualitative research study structured in three lines of investigation: theoretical research, bibliographic research, and document analysis. The Structuration Theory was adopted as an analytical framework because it offers an interpretative framework capable of understanding the processes and interactions that shape these social systems, contributing to overcoming gaps in research on the structuring dimensions that permeate this modulation. The results reveal that environmental laws present recursive elements that enable the implementation of sports and recreational activities in natural environments. These practices act as an active interlocutor in the interaction between the environment and tourism, favoring a mutual symbiosis between the sectors. In this dynamic, it was found that the Paraná Aventura program consists of a strategic action to favor these interaction mechanisms, originating from the institutional reflexivity of this system, mediated by the reflexive monitoring of its expert agents. Thus, it is a program that promotes mechanisms of disembedding and re-embedding in the interface between nature, sport, and adventure tourism in Paraná. Furthermore, it is noted that the geographical configurations of the state have a great vocation for sports in contact with nature. In the Tourism Regionalization Policy, trends were observed towards valuing and stimulating the structuring of the adventure sector, in order to promote the reinvention of natural areas through sports in contact with nature and mediated by adventure tourism. It is concluded that the elements analyzed are configured as an expression of contemporary policies capable of mobilizing different institutions and social agents, as well as favoring processes of disembedding and re-embedding of social dynamics, involving both broad structural transformations and changes in individual and subjective dimensions.
