Vivências de mulheres submetidas à braquiterapia: compreensão existencial

Abstract

In this study I looked for to understand the existences by women bearers of uterine cancer in its hurts different moments, before and after being submitted to braquitherapy. Martin Heidegger's existential phenomenology made possible the apprehension of the existences of those being. Eight women were interviewed, being 5 before the braquitherapy and the others after they accomplish the procedure. The depositions collected before the treatment they happened at specialized hospital in located cancer in the north area of Paraná. After the braquitherapy the depositions were collected in the home of the interviewees, obeying a period that didn't surpass six months of the date of the end of the treatment. The interviews happened after the approval of that study for the Permanent Committee of Ethics in Research Involving Human Beings of the State University of Maringá. In each situation it specifies I used two oriented quotes: "What do you feel living the braquitherapy"? And the other one, "What did you feel living the braquitherapy"? In the interpretation of the language of the interviewee, before the accomplishment of the braquitherapy, the raised feelings were: Being with the other not authentic in the conviviality of the hospital and the solitude, anguish in the face of the stranger, religiosity: the road of the hope. In the speeches, after the treatment, the women emphasized: the temporary of the existence with the treatment and the hope that the treatment swallows them the cure. During my path with the women, I tried to watch, through your speech, of the gestures and sometimes of the silence, as that treatment she pulled the curtain before them. In that perspective, new possibilities were shown, with important subjects related to the care. To educate the nursery that act in the braquitherapy for the patients' explanation with relationship to the stranger's exaggerating fear is important, in order to offer attendance in a calmer way, avoiding the anguish and the fear that induce to unnecessary suffering. The nursery, as profession of the care, needs to allow the people to express your needs, that your show anxieties. To leave of that process there will be the opening for the authentic care. The care can show in simple ways through the dialogue, of the sharing of thoughts, of the attentive glance. For so much, it is important to enter in those women's world, to stay for more time to your side and to listen with your involvement experiences.
