As relações naturais : a releitura da dramaturgia de Qorpo-Santo por Luiz Carlos Maciel em 1968

Abstract

This work investigates the re-meaning possibilities of the comedy As relações naturais, written by Qorpo Santo, played in 1968 by the Teatro Jovem company, and directed by Luiz Carlos Maciel. The understanding of this cultural product occurs also through a productive reading, confirming, according to Roger Chartier, that annul the cut between producing and consuming is before affirming the work acquires meaning only through the diversity of understandings that construct their meanings. The text and its author are considered into the historic context of the 19th century; and the Maciel's staging in his context, in a period of strong aesthetic and political clashes, the 1960's decade. After analyzing the Yan Michalski's critical point of view about this staging, the procedure was the understanding of a semiological reading about the main corpus of this investigation, constituted by: the text of the comedy As relações naturais, by Qorpo Santo, and the interview with Luiz Carlos Maciel, achieved in 2006, that constitutes an oral document. According to Maciel, the power of representation of the theater of invention can be approached to the concept of imbalance between the scene and the text, that frees the staging from the needy to follow what the text means literally.
