A equivalência interlinguística entre o português brasileiro-espanhol europeu na terminologia da energia eólica

Abstract

This study, supported in the terminological theories, aims to present an interlinguistic contrastive analysis between the Brazilian Portuguese and the European Spanish in the wind power, subarea of the renewable energy. The research is dedicated to readers who are specialized in the renewable energy field, in its subarea Wind Power and also to researchers of terminological science, and there is also the possibility to arouse the interest of all community. The proximity between two similar languages, such as the Brazilian Portuguese and the European Spanish, leads to an interlinguistic interference that currently has been studied through these linguistic models. The choice about the theme happened due to the fact that the Wind Power is a way of Renewable Energy originating from the use of wind, benefitting the environment and avoiding catastrophic consequences. The paper is based on ten technical texts, among thesis and scientific essays, which compose the corpora, since they are bilingual. To the analysis, 20 candidates to be terms were obtained to the exemplification and analysis procedure, being ten in Portuguese language and ten in Spanish language. With the intention of explaining to the reader the function of Terminology and reflecting about the importance of the studies on the interlinguistic equivalence, the studies about Terminology, in special, the Communicative Theory of Terminology (CTT) are used as theoretical basis. The paper discusses the levels of linguistic equivalence and the criteria proposed by Contente (2008) to the realization of the contrastive analysis. It was used as a collaborator to the development of the paper, the program Unitex which enabled the manipulation of the corpora and the extraction of candidates to be terms. To complement, another tool provided the preparation of the terminological applications, the program Access from Microsoft Corporation.
