Alimentação, evacuação gástrica e cronologia da digestão de jovens de pintado Pseudoplatystoma corruscans (Siluriformes, Pimelodidae) e suas relações com a temperatura ambiente

Abstract

The rate of gastric evacuation and the food intake frequency in "pintado" Pseudoplatystoma corruscans were studied at different temperatures (20,2, 25,1, 30,1 and 34,9°C). The rate of gastric evacuation at different temperature and the rate of instantaneous evacuation (b) in relation to the temperature were described by a negative and positive linear function, respectively. The food ingestion was higher at 30,1ºC. Four degrees of digestion were established based on macroscopical description of the gastric contents.
