The objective of this work was to evaluate the deposition and selectivity of the herbicide Flumioxazin with or without addition of adjuvants in the transplanted onion culture. Two experiments were conducted on the field at the Irrigation Training Center (CTI) belonging to the State University of Maringá, in the city of Maringá, Paraná, Brazil. Treatments were completely randomized. The treatments were constituted by unique applications in both crops of Flumioxazin Herbicide; Flumioxazin with Assist adjuvant + Bright blue dye; Flumioxazin with Conjugate Lava + Dye Bright blue; Flumioxazin with Agral adjuvant + Bright blue dye; Flumioxazin with adjuvant Nitrofix Bright Blue Dye, and a weeded control that received application of Bright Blue Dye Water. The bright blue food coloring was added for the determination of the deposition of the spray mixture on the soil and leaves of the onion culture, through spectrophotometer analysis. In addition to the deposition evaluation, phytotoxification evaluations using the European Weed Research Community Conceptual Scale (EWRC, 1964) and total productivity and bulb diameter classification were also performed. It was possible to verify that addition of Assist and Nitrofix adjuvants in the application flask with the Flumioxazin Herbicide increased the deposition on the soil, as well as did not cause permanent damage to the crop that has significantly interfered in productivity |
