A cultura escolar como produto de um lugar : uma escola primária rural do interior paranaense (1950-1970)

Abstract

Resumo: Essa pesquisa está inserida na área de História e Historiografia da Educação e vinculada ao "Grupo de Pesquisa em História da Educação Brasileira, Instituições e Cultura Escolar – HEDUCULTES", tendo como lócus de investigação uma escola primária rural denominada Epitácio Pessoa, localizada em Nova Altamira, Distrito do Município de Faxinal no Paraná, nas décadas de 1950 a 1970. Tomando a cultura escolar e seus sujeitos, a pesquisa propõe identificar o que era ser uma escola isolada na década de 1950/1960 no interior paranaense e observar o que rompeu e o que permaneceu com a mudança de Casa Escolar Epitácio Pessoa, para o modelo de escola graduada, ou seja, quando ela foi transformada em Grupo Escolar Epitácio Pessoa. O recorte temporal se justifica pela data de criação da instituição na década de 1950, mais especificamente em 1955, em uma propriedade rural, e 1978 marca a mudança para Grupo Escolar Epitácio Pessoa com a construção de um novo espaço físico. Como aporte teórico, utilizei autores como: Certeau (1979; 1982; 2014); Julia (2001); Viñao Frago (2000; 2005) e Magalhães (2004). A pesquisa é de caráter bibliográfico e documental, tendo utilizado também a pesquisa oral por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com ex-professoras da instituição. As fontes utilizadas foram a Legislação Educacional, o discurso de Presidentes da República e Governadores do Estado do Paraná, dados estatísticos do IBGE, documentos da escola como: Atas de Reunião, Atas de Exame, Registro de Matrícula, Livro de Planejamento do Ensino Primário e depoimentos de professoras. A narrativa foi construída com base nessa documentação, sendo possível verificar o índice de analfabetismo que existia na época e as dificuldades enfrentadas no processo de democratização do Ensino Primário no interior paranaense, assim como identificar que na escola analisada havia um hibridismo entre o modelo de organização da escola isolada e o modelo de organização da escola graduada, sendo que, segundo a percepção das entrevistadas, a mudança de um modelo para outro não representou grandes transformações nas práticas escolares das professoras, elas continuaram a planejar suas aulas com as mesmas orientações e a ensinar os alunos da mesma maneira que antes. Contudo, sentiram mudanças em termos da melhoria no desenvolvimento das atividades com a construção de um prédio maior e em alvenaria, assim como perceberam um melhor desenvolvimento das atividades nas classes seriadas e um maior acompanhamento do trabalho realizado em sala. A instituição estudada continua em funcionamento até os dias atuais, configurada como Escola Municipal do Campo Epitácio Pessoa – Ensino Fundamental I

Abstracts: This research is inserted in the area of History and History of Education and linked to the "Research Group on History of Brazilian Education, Institutions and School Culture - HEDUCULTES", having as a locus of research a primary school called rural Epitacio Pessoa, located in Nova Altamira District of the Municipality of Faxinal in Paraná, in the decades of 1950 to 1970. Taking the school culture and its subjects, the research proposes to identify what it was to be an isolated school in the decade of 1950/1960 in the interior of Paraná and observe what broke and what remained with the change of Epitácio Pessoa School House, for the model of graduate school, that is, when it was transformed into Grupo Escolar Epitácio Pessoa. The temporal cut is justified by the date of creation of the institution in the 1950s, more specifically in 1955, in a rural property, and 1978 marks the change to Grupo Escolar Epitácio Pessoa with the construction of a new physical space. As a theoretical contribution, authors such as: Certeau (1979, 1982, 2014); Julia (2001); Viñao Frago (2000; 2005) and Magalhães (2004) were used. The research is of bibliographic and documentary nature, having also used the oral research through semi-structured interviews with former teachers of the institution. The sources used were the Educational Legislation, the speeches of Presidents of the Republic and Governors of the State of Paraná, IBGE statistical data, school documents such as: Minutes of Meeting, Examination Records, Registration of Registration, Primary Education Planning Book and testimonies of teachers. The narrative was constructed based on this documentation, and it was possible to verify the illiteracy index that existed at the time and the difficulties faced in the process of democratization of primary education in the interior of Paraná, as well as to identify that in the analyzed school there was a hybridism between the model of organization of the isolated school and the model of organization of the graduate school, and according to the interviewees perception, the change from one model to another did not represent major changes in the teachers' school practices, they continued to plan their classes with the same orientations and teach students the same way as before. However, changes were felt in terms of improvement in the development of activities with the construction of a larger building and masonry, as well as perceived a better development of the activities in the series classes and a greater monitoring of the work done in the room. The studied institution continues in operation until the present day, configured as Municipal School of the Field Epitacio Pessoa - Elementary School I
