A construção da história oficial de Cianorte e a consolidação da memória coletiva, através do Projeto Resgate Cultural (1953-1975)

Abstract

RESUMO: A relevância desta pesquisa justifica-se diante do fato de que há poucos trabalhos acadêmicos sobre a história de Cianorte. E a maioria destes tem como referência o livro "Cianorte, sua história contada pelos pioneiros" (1995), escrito por Helena Cioffi, Irene Gimenes Praxedes, Izaura Aparecida Tomaroli Varella e Wilma Kobayashi Mesquita, professoras da educação básica. O livro é resultado do "Projeto Resgate Cultural" (1984-1992), organizado pelas professoras, com apoio da Prefeitura Municipal de Cianorte, a partir de entrevistas com os primeiros habitantes da cidade, fotografias antigas e reportagens de jornais locais e regionais. Analisamos o material produzido pelo Projeto e a publicação dele resultante, a fim de perscrutar o processo de construção da versão oficial da história de Cianorte. Devido à variedade de fontes, valemo-nos do instrumental teórico-metodológico de campos distintos: História Oral, História Visual, História Política, dentre outros. Para a contextualização, abrangemos o período de 1953 a 1975, ou seja, da data da fundação da cidade ao ano da geada negra – que modificou os rumos da economia local, até então centrada na cafeicultura, para cultivos mecanizados e indústria têxtil. Além de estudar a visão predominante, buscamos construir novos saberes e "dar vez e voz" aos indivíduos cujas trajetórias foram deixadas em segundo plano na história cianortense.

ABSTRACT: The relevance of this research is justified by the fact that there are few academic papers on the history of Cianorte. And most of them have as reference the book "Cianorte, its story told by the pioneers" (1995), written by Helena Cioffi, Irene Gimenes Praxedes, Izaura Aparecida Tomaroli Varella and Wilma Kobayashi Mesquita, teachers of basic education. The book is the result of the "Projeto Resgate Cultural" (1984-1992), organized by the teachers, with support from the City Hall of Cianorte, based on interviews with the first inhabitants of the city, old photographs and reports from local and regional newspapers. We analysed the material produced by the Project and the resulting publication, in order to scrutinize the construction process of the official version of Cianorte's history. Due to the variety of sources, we use theoretical and methodological tools from different fields: Oral History, Visual History, Political History, among others. For contextualization, we cover the period from 1953 to 1975, that is, from the date of the city's foundation to the year of the black frost – which changed the direction of the local economy, until then centered on coffee growing, towards mechanized cultivation and the textile industry. In addition to studying the prevailing view, we seek to build new knowledge and "give a voice" to individuals whose trajectories were left in the background in the history of Cianorte.
