Proposta de um framework para determinar o nível de maturidade em Sustainable Supply Chain Management : um estudo de múltiplos casos.

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é formular um framework que tem por finalidade avaliar o nível de Maturidade em Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM). Os fatores que motivaram a concepção de tal objetivo estão compreendidos no crescente interesse na realização de estudos direcionados à sustentabilidade e na necessidade de consolidar os conceitos presentes na literatura a respeito do SSCM. Além disso, foi constatada a ausência na literatura atual de estudos similares, principalmente realizados em países emergentes tal qual o Brasil. Para o alcance deste objetivo, foi realizada uma sistematização junto à literatura que versa sobre modelos de maturidade em SSCM, obtendo-se um conjunto de Práticas de SSCM, uma classificação de principais fatores motivadores para adoção de tais práticas e, por fim, uma proposta de modelo de maturidade e framework original para classificação em níveis de maturidade em SSCM. Para verificar a aplicabilidade do modelo de maturidade e framework proposto, é descrita a realização de estudo de casos múltiplos com cinco empresas brasileiras de cadeias de suprimentos distintas, a análise das informações coletadas e aplicação do Modelo de Maturidade em SSCM para cada empresa. Verificou-se que das cinco empresas analisadas uma adotava menos práticas de SSCM consolidadas, com motivação voltada a redução e prevenção de custos, sendo classificada no nível preventivo de maturidade em SSCM, e quatro adotavam um maior volume de práticas consolidadas, com motivação voltada a vantagens competitivas, sendo classificadas no nível proativo de maturidade em SSCM. Ao final das análises, foi possível encontrar uma relação positiva entre a intensidade de adoção das práticas de SSCM e de seus principais fatores motivadores com o nível de maturidade em SSCM, bem como analisar a aplicabilidade do framework e das práticas de SSCM listadas. Desta forma, este trabalho contribui para a literatura de maturidade em SSCM, aumentando o conhecimento disponível na sobre o tema, traz uma ferramenta de classificação em níveis válida e que pode ser aplicada de forma prática em empresas para incentivar a adoção do SSCM e o aumento de sua sustentabilidade.

The objective of this work is to formulate a framework that aims to evaluate the level of Maturity in Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM). The factors that motivated the conception of this objective are understood in the growing interest in conducting studies aimed at sustainability and in the need to consolidate the concepts present in the literature about the SSCM. In addition, the absence in the current literature of similar studies was found, mainly conducted in emerging countries such as Brazil. To achieve this objective, a systematization was carried out with the literature that deals with maturity models in SSCM, obtaining a set of SSCM Practices, a classification of the main motivating factors for the adoption of such practices and, finally, a proposal of maturity model and original framework for classification in maturity levels in SSCM. To verify the applicability of the proposed maturity model and framework, it is described the conduct of multiple case studies with five Brazilian companies of different supply chains, the analysis of the information collected and application of the Maturity Model in SSCM for each company. It was verified that of the five companies analyzed one adopted fewer consolidated SSCM practices, with motivation aimed at reducing and preventing costs, being classified in the preventive level of maturity in SSCM, and four adopted a higher volume of consolidated practices, with motivation focused on competitive advantages, being classified in the proactive level of maturity in SSCM. At the end of the analyses, it was possible to find a positive relationship between the intensity of adoption of SSCM practices and their main motivating factors with the level of maturity in SSCM, as well as to analyze the applicability of the framework and the SSCM practices listed. Thus, this work contributes to the literature of maturity in SSCM, increasing the knowledge available on the subject, brings a classification tool at valid levels and that can be applied in a practical way in companies to encourage the adoption of the SSCM and the increase of its sustainability.
