Movimentos de contraconduta feminista em "Onde nascem os fortes" (Globo, 2018) : violência, resistências e artes do cuidado de si

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa, inserida no bojo das discussões do Grupo de Estudos em Análise do Discurso da UEM (GEDUEM), tematiza o encontro tenso e produtivo entre a brasilidade "nordestinizada", que agencia práticas, como resistência e violência patriarcal e de movimentos de contraconduta feministas. Sob tal temática, esta pesquisa adota a perspectiva teórico-metodológica dos Estudos Discursivos Foucaultianos, cuja organização segue os preceitos que envolvem os três eixos - ser-saber, ser-poder e ser-consigo -, em diálogo com a História Cultural do Nordeste e do nordestino, os estudos da imagem em movimento, da televisão e do feminismo. O objetivo geral é compreender o modo como se instituem as práticas de si, opressoras e libertadoras, das personagens femininas no discurso televisivo ficcional de Onde nascem os fortes (Globo, 2018), no/pelo exercício do "dispositivo da masculinidade sertaneja", operado pelas estratégias discursivas da brasilidade "nordestinizada". A problematização da tese é: considerando que a "violência" é a tecnologia que rege a ordem discursiva da materialidade televisiva ficcional Onde nascem os fortes (Globo, 2018), de que modo são instituídas as práticas de si feministas das personagens femininas, no/pelo exercício do "dispositivo da masculinidade sertaneja", operando pelas estratégias discursivas da brasilidade "nordestinizada"? Esta pesquisa se justifica pelos seguintes pontos: i) ineditismo teórico-metodológica assegurado pelos resultados obtidos no Estado da Arte; ii) a história do presente que aponta a ascensão da extrema direita com um projeto desdemocratizador e, neste contexto, o objeto de pesquisa é um exemplar desta racionalidade no campo discursivo artístico que consagra o resgate do macho viril e a insurgência de mulheres contra este tipo de masculinidade. O corpus de pesquisa é composto por: a supersérie Onde nascem os fortes (Globo, 2018), os sites Gshow (2018) e Memória Globo (2023a), o canal do YouTube da emissora e portais da grande mídia. A tese defendida é a de que o exercício do "dispositivo da masculinidade sertaneja", operado pelas estratégias discursivas da brasilidade "nordestinizada" e organizado no discurso televisivo ficcional, cria condições de possibilidade de contracondutas de "autodefesa" das personagens femininas centrais de Onde nascem os fortes (Globo, 2018). Os resultados demonstram que o funcionamento do referido dispositivo dá a ver como as linhas de força e de subjetivação produzem as subjetividades femininas, a partir de relações de sujeição; as práticas de si das personagens estabelecem certos modos de se relacionar consigo mesmas e com o outro, a saber: a) opressivas, no caso de Rosinete e Ramirinho, visto que (re)produzem as tecnologias de poder ao produzir a "mulher abnegada" e o "filho que segue o legado do pai", respectivamente; b) libertadoras, quando os dois sujeitos mencionados retornam a si mesmos e rompem com o poder patriarcal, possibilitando o exercício de movimentos de contracondutas; c) o exercício ético-moral de si suturam as condutas de Maria e Cássia que, em busca da verdade sobre Nonato, assumem-se como parresiastas e as (contra)condutas: violência defensiva, ajuda comunitária, investigação extrainstitucional e denúncia policial. A coragem da verdade de si mesmas são as condições para o exercício das contracondutas feministas das personagens analisadas. .

Abstract: This research, inserted in the midst of the discussions of the Study Group in Discourse Analysis of UEM (GEDUEM), thematizes the tense and productive encounter between the "northernized" Brazilianness, which mediates practices such as patriarchal resistance and violence, and feminist (agonistic) practices of freedom. Under this theme, this research adopts the theoretical-methodological perspective of Foucauldian Discourse Studies, whose organization follows the precepts that involve the three axes erected by Foucault - being-knowing, being-power and being-with -, in dialogue with the Cultural History of the Northeast and the Northeast, the studies of the moving image, television and feminism. The general objective was to understand the way in which the oppressive and liberating techniques of the female characters are instituted in the fictional television discourse of "Where the strong are born" (Globo, 2018), in/through the exercise of the "device of country masculinity", operated by the discursive strategies of the "northeastern Brazilianness". To achieve this objective, the following was chosen as a problematization: considering that "violence" is the technology that governs the discursive order of the fictional television materiality "Where the strong are born" (Globo, 2018), how are the feminist techniques of the female characters instituted, in/by the exercise of the "device of country masculinity", operating through the discursive strategies of the "northernized" Brazilianness?. Given these issues, this research is justified by the following points: i) theoretical-methodological relevance ensured by the results obtained in the State of the Art; ii) the history of the present that points to the rise of the extreme right with a de-democratizing project and, in this context, the object of research is an example of this rationality in the artistic discursive field that consecrates the rescue of the virile male and the insurgency of women against a certain type of masculinity. The theoretical-analytical development is made from the research corpus composed of: the superseries "Where the strong are born" (Globo, 2018), the websites Gshow (2018) and Memória Globo (2023a), the broadcaster's YouTube channel and mainstream media portals. That said, the thesis supported is that the exercise of the "device of country masculinity", operated by the discursive strategies of the "northeastern Brazilianness" and organized in the fictional television discourse, creates conditions for the possibility of the counter-conduct of "self-defense" of the central female characters of "Where the strong are born" (Globo, 2018). As a result, we highlight that the functioning of this device made it possible to see how the lines of force and subjectivation cross their vertical and horizontal axes and produce the subjectivities of the female characters, based on relations of subjection; the characters' practices of themselves, in turn, establish certain ways of relating to themselves and to the other, namely: a) oppressive in the case of the subjects of Sertão - Rosinete and Ramirinho - since they (re)produce the technologies of power by producing the "selfless woman" and the "son who follows the father's legacy", respectively; b) liberating when the two subjects mentioned return to themselves and break with patriarchal power, which enables the exercise of practices of freedom through overcoming and affirming themselves from other ways of being; c) the ethical-moral exercise of self sutures the conducts of Maria and Cássia who, in search of the truth about Nonato, assume themselves as parrhesiasts and, as a result of this position, act from different (counter)conducts: defensive violence, community help, extra-institutional investigation and denunciation of the criminal. The courage of the truth of themselves are the conditions for the exercise of the feminist practices of the female characters analyzed in this thesis.
